My guest for Episode 100 is the crew from Hugo, Girl! They were nominated this year for a Hugo in the Fancast category. That’s the same category Coffee in Space would be in should it ever garner a Hugo nomination.

 

What do I think about a Hugo nomination? Well, it would be a huge boon to my little show. People would undoubtedly find it because they’d notice the nomination and, if my podcast were firing on all cylinders, then I would undoubtedly pick up new listeners.

 

Of course it would do my pride a hell of a lot of damage though. I’d get all excited, think I’m something I’m not, and think more people like my show than probably do. I’d come to expect that I could do no wrong

 

I know myself, and that’s just the facts of life for me. So better to remain the humble little show only a few have heard of than become something bigger than I really am.
