The Coffee in Space podcast, in coordination with Rebellion Publishing, is proud to announce Derek Kunsken, in conversation with S. Daniel Smith, host of Coffee in Space. Derek is the author of four novels and over a dozen published short stories. His short works have been published in magazines such as Asimov’s Science Fiction, Analog Science Fiction and Fact, and Clarkesworld. His novels include the new work, Quantum War*, which is book three of the Quantum Evolution series from Rebellion Publishing.

S. Daniel Smith is a published author and host of Coffee in Space. He has interviewed over 40 authors on his show. In addition to interviewing Derek, Dan has also interviewed authors such as Andy Weir (The Martian), C. Robert Cargill (Dr. Strange), and David Brin (The Uplift Series).

Derek has been a guest on the show three times, so he’s clearly a friend of Coffee in Space. In fact, Derek was one of my first guests. His very first interview, on April 20, 2020, was my third episode. Derek is such a good person that he directly led to at least three additional interviews, and via his introduction to then publicist Hanna Waigh at Rebellion (his publisher), he indirectly led to over a dozen more.

I’m so proud to announce that, for our fourth talk together, we’re going to try something new. On November 27, we’re going to conduct our interview LIVE! Thanks to Derek’s publisher, Rebellion, we’re getting a great opportunity to bring you all the antics and fun that unfortunately gets edited out of my regular interviews without any rehearsing.
