C. Robert Cargill wears many hats. He’s a movie critic, a screenwriter, a podcaster, and a novelist. Most people know him for his work on Marvel’s Dr. Strange, but he’s also a very gifted novelist with several novels to his credit. The two we talk about on this episode of Coffee in Space Podcast are Day Zero and Sea of Rust.
Cargill is also a military brat, which works so well for the show since it came out of the Military Fans of Science Fiction and Fantasy group on Facebook. If you’re in the military, or associated in any way with the military, please join the group.
In the interview, Cargill talks about the difference between writing his latest work, Day Zero, as a novel versus what it would look like as a movie script. He also discusses in great detail what it means to be a human. In fact, Cargill has a lot to say about the issue, which is what makes this episode such a gem.
His next release is the movie The Black Phone, which he adapted from a short story by Joe Hill.
