I met Andy in December of 2017 at an event for the launch of Artemis, his second novel. He was such an amazing presenter. Totally laid back, answering everyone’s questions, and talking frankly about his writing process, his world building, and life as a professional writer. I enjoyed The Martian, published a few years before Artemis, but let me tell you, the day I watched him present in 2017 was the day I became an Andy Weir fan.

When Project Hail Mary came out, I knew I needed to get him on the show. And I’m so grateful that Andy was willing to do my 50th episode. What better guest can you have?!?!
